Water is the most essential element to life on Earth. “Water, water, everywhere, nor any drop to drink”. Most of the water available on the planet, 97 percent of it, is undrinkable because it’s saltwater. Only 3 percent of the world’s water supply is fresh water, and 77 percent of that is frozen. Of the 23 percent that is not frozen, only a half a percent is available to supply every plant, animal and person on Earth with all the water they need to survive.
Soda water (also known as club soda, carbonated water, sparkling water, seltzer water, bubbly water, or fizzy water) is water into which carbon dioxide gas under pressure has been dissolved. Some of these have additives, such as sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate or similar, but seltzer water is almost always composed of water and carbon dioxide with no other additives. This process, known as carbonation, is a process that causes the water to become effervescent.
